I recently purchased a Quickfire TK keyboard – I do quite a considerable amount of typing and wanted a better keyboard than my laptop provided and the Quickfire seemed a reasonable first choice in terms of the price, when compared to some other keyboards.
Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the model I bought (Brown MX switches; the spacebar could be a bit quieter, but hey, I'll get used to it
). The only thing that's bothering me is that I cannot completely turn off the LED lighting, unless I enable NumLock, which disables the arrow keys and I need those on a regular basis when I am editing text. I've read the manuals and tech specs but they don't mention anywhere how to disable the lights; changing the mode (fn+F4) doesn't work either. Is there any way to turn those lights off and have them only turn on when the rest of the keyboard is lit up or is this something I'll have to get use to as well?
