These things usually go around 145-160 USD for a new keyboard.
It's only at 25 quid right now with 3 days to go so yeap.
The seller also didn't list what type of switches the keyboad uses.

Under the title it says " Cherry MX Blue Switches "

Too bad he's only shipping to the UK I would probably hop on that if I lived there.

Not sure how great a deal this is and obviously it has time left to go but:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Filco-Majestouch-2-Full-Size-Ninja-Mechanical-Keyboard-in-Excellent-Condition-/251403575771?pt=UK_Computing_ComputerComponents_KeyboardsMice&hash=item3a88d221db

WARNING:  The title says Majestouch 2, but the picture shows a Majestouch 1.  Which is not the same.  Some said there was little difference between the two version, others found big differences.  The real issue however is the deception.  Is this fraud or mistake?   The seller has 100% positive feedback, so this might just be a mistake.  But still, the seller should proof read his listing, and should accurately describe what he is selling.

This is from an old GH thread: "Majestouch 2 is the newer version which has an uprated PCB, It is a more resiliant material which is better suited to use in keyboards as a keyboard PCB needs to handle the extra physical stresses of being typed on. The solder pads go right through the holes for instance. Also it is more heat resistant allowing for better intitial soldering. There is little difference in feel and performance really although longevity and reliability should improve and most people think it has a slightly softer, more tactile feel."  http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=17365.0

This thing is a majestouch-2 ninja though.
The majestouch 2 ninja case does looks like that and the keys are printed on the side of the keys as opposed to the top where your fingers normally contact.

MJ-2 and MJ-1 looked very similar, except for the "graininess" of the ABS plastic of the case, and the color of the Filco logo, MJ-1 was a bit darker, IIRC.  The giveaway is the box, which is clearly an MJ-1.  Maybe he has an MJ-2 in an MJ-1 box, but that would raise even more questions of what is he trying to pull?

Just wanting to know if its worth going for, and what would the max price you'd recommend paying be?

This is the Ninja Variant though and the cases for the Majestouch-2 Ninja just say Majestouch Ninja. The box is correct as far as I can tell.

This is how the ninja keys are printed.

I'm not sure how easy it is to obtain Filcos in the UK.
That affects the resell value of the keyboard quite a bit.
For reference, my friend here in the States, sold his Majestouch 2 Ninja Cherry MX red (MX reds, particularly Filco's are still harder to come by in the US) that he used for almost a year for $130 locally and he bought the keyboard for a little less than $150.
I think these guys http://www.keyboardco.com/ sell Filcos in the UK.
Maybe check some other sites.
I think this also depends on your key preference, alot of people don't really like cherry mx blues because of how clickey they are.  You might want to look into other switches when determining how much you want to pay.

The box is identical to my Majestouch 2 Ninja.

Also, AFAIK, there was no MJ1 Ninja.

hmm, well the other non-ninja MJ-2's have boxes that say MJ-2 on them.

I guess that guy is probably legitimately selling a real MJ-2 Ninja then.  I'm just suspicious of all ebay sellers, having been burnt by two of them.  So I guess my suspicions say more about me than him.

You're right, for some reason Filco dropped the number and called it Majestouch Ninja, though it is really a Majestouch 2.

My point being though, what's the highest you recommend paying?

Assuming you want that ISO version, you can buy it new for 105 GBP. With not much of a description to go by other than "excellent condition," I would say that you have to decide how much you would be willing to pay knowing how much it costs new.

So me saying go for say £60 at most maybe 65? would be worth me looking at. It's bound to go higher but I'd rather not go that high unless I am buying new, heck for £110 I'd rather buy the brand new yellow ducky :P

Not at all, you are definitely right to be vigilant. I mean this guy could have taken better pictures and put more effort into the listing.
I also hate Ebay/Paypal so much because of how I've gotten screwed in the past as both the buyer and seller - so I would definitely prefer to buy used things locally or just pay more and buy new.

If this hasn't be suggested, you can also try quickfiress that are made by Costar they're quite a bit cheaper and it'll be new/from a decent retailer.

For a bona fide, used MJ-2 Ninja with MX Blues in excellent condition, I would offer a maximum bid of £75.  BUT, that would be for a keyboard with no shiny keys, and no cat hair, or other nasty crap under the keycaps.  You have to decide what it's worth to you.

Looked at QF's, I only considered this one well idk really why haha. I kinda want a custom case badly though. Like non black/white/gray, more like purple/red etc.
