not sure if sarcasm...
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

BTW
After some investigation on my own, I believe I am actually in ownership of the keyboard you were supposed to receive. Sorry about not giving you extra information lotus1109.

How do I know this?
- Google Cache works wonders for finding ****.

Facts.
- I paid the $436.80AUD ($35 express post) to the same email address that lotus1109 did.
- The seller tried to get me to pay via internet bank transfer. 4-6 week payment recall process, that isn't guaranteed in the event of a dispute...(turns into legal matter, in Australia anyway)
- The keyboard has the same configuration and dent as the one lotus1109 described to me via PM.
- I was also given the run around with postage, here are the excuses I was given.
"Where does one buy a box big enough for keys, keyboard and bubblewrap?"
"I'm really busy and can only post this on thursday my day off"
- Only after I threatened to launch a paypal dispute was any real action taken.
- The GH user I bought it from said "I still haven't told my friend that I've sold it yet (the one that I bought from)."
- That same user also said that he had bought this KMAC 2 from Chaosstep - Refer to the Dodgy Balanar thread - Same Keyboard.
- I paid on the 10/12 for express postage and received it on the 21/12 (SP from USA shipped 9 spacebars to me in 6 Days)

Any similarities here lotus1109?

- I paid Rendom, yet my payment was to the same email address as lotus1109 paid who paid akujiwa

RENDOM AND AKUJIWA are either the same user or are scamming together.

BTW,
I believe that I was scammed by desheol.
Sure enough, I googled searched on the email address that he told me was his PP account and the first post references to an old FST by AKUJIWA using that same email address.
These guys are shady ass people

TLDR:  RENDOM, AKUJIWA, and DESHEOL are all using the same PP email account.

I'm actually waiting on something to arrive from deSheol now and haven't had any problems. He was actually the one who insisted on using an invoice rather than gift too so I trust him.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

I'm waiting on something from deSheol as well, and also had no issues during the transaction. Aus->US is taking a fair while (more than 3 weeks), but he helped pay for shipping with tracking and in general was very communicative.

Keep this post in mind too.  I'm not saying to believe anything at face value, but this was posted in this very thread after all:

I am the real Rendom user.

I have gotten in contacts with him. (well, not him, but "her", I would like to not reveal her relationship with him)

There were a few requests, all sent to lotus. All of which I thought were reasonable, he doesn't want his real name associated in internet, but he said you can leave his paypal account here if you want. He said that he felt ashamed and won't make a return to GH or anywhere else. desheol was furious as well, we both are going to change our account password. The only reason why he could access our account was because we were housemates, and he had access to our computer. (computer room) (not housemates anymore since December, but he still had our passwords)

All in all, he is currently in a situation which I wouldn't reveal, but it has something to do with hospital. But no sob stories, no excuse, he would like to apologize and refund Lotus.

I am currently in talk with Lotus to help settle this. I didn't like my name associated in this thread, but I don't mind helping.  :thumb:

And lotus1109 did get the full refund at the end as well.

This is the danger of having public threads of this sort where any associated names are lumped together without looking at the context.

I was glad to get back my money, not complaining but I wish to get the keyboard though, it took my 3 months for nothing but just the money I paid 3 months ago. And if you look into details, you will know that the date when Aj-kun purchased the KMAC is 10th of December, which is 2 months later I deal with the seller. This is against the moral of business, well at least for me.

So I will not ever deal with him anymore. Maybe some of you have good experience with his service but unfortunately I didn't. Good luck jalaj, I hope you can get exactly what you paid for.

The wonders of geekhackery

When you put lots of geeks together, their combined brainpower can dig up lots of buried facts. Excellent detective work my friend!

You CANNOT have different people use the same paypal account. It is not allowed. Furthermore paypal will make you do things like verify your identity and link it to a real bank account and stuff like that, so when you have three nicks and only one pp account, you're definitely talking about the same person.

This is what we can call a smoking gun piece of evidence. It is very damning. The only possibility is that akujiwa masqueraded as Rendom and DeSheol since he had access to their accounts on the same computer. But what's the probability of that in modern times? Three roommates in an Australian college sharing the same computer, and all of them are mechanical keyboard fans but don't have their own laptops or tablets?

All the same, as a guy who shared the same proxy shipping account with some friends, I must point out that this doesn't apply in the cases of shipping addresses.
Most of the modding can be done on your own once you break through the psychological barriers.

Not legally, but sure you can use the same PayPal address.  Children can use their parents' PayPal info, and roommates can share it in some situations--perhaps like this one, and perhaps without explicit knowledge or consent.  I'm just bringing this up because you can never definitively label something as being true without having all the facts.  We are not a judicial system here with appointed jury to decide--and we don't even have enough facts.

I guarantee you no one with over 5000 posts will be out to scam you..
Are you sure?

Yeah....

Anyways, glad to see you got most of your money back. Normally Paypal reverses fees when doing a refund. I'm not sure if there is a cutoff time, but the seller should have reversed the fees from the original transaction in their account.

Regardless, it's all moot at this point. You might be able to contact Paypal and speak with a support rep to get the fees associated with the current transfer reversed for you. I'd call Paypal and explain it and see if they credit those fees to your account.

This thread is being locked, because the original issue has been resolved, and the arguments have run their course.  At this point, there is only additional idle speculation, and we simply don't have enough facts.  Please be exceedingly careful when making accusations about people connected to what you believe is a scam--they may not actually be at fault.
