Ducky Shine 3 or wait for 4??

Hi!

I have ordered the Ducky shine 3 mechanical keyboard which I believe is one of the best or the best keyboard you can buy ( if you know a better keyboard please let me know )
But I still have the chance to cancel the order so should I cancel it and wait for the Ducky Shine 4 or buy something else?
the ducky shine 2 came out on april 2013 or something and shine 3 came out on august 2013 and thats like 4 month gap
but now it has been almost 6 months since the shine 3 was released so the next one should come pretty soon?
What do you think I should do?

If you can wait... Then wait... Buuuut.... It's a shine 3 and is absolutely amazing. I don't really see what else they can add... The shine 5 will hopefully have smd leds like the corsair board.

They may skip the number 4 altogether, 'cause it's kinda bad luck in Chinese

It may be a while.  They are still producing new firmware that adds features to the existing keyboard.

One thing they could produce as an improvement are backlit doubleshot pbt keycaps.

The 3 came out sometime in mid 2013, so I suspect it might be awhile before they make 4's...there's probably a better opportunity that they'd make a year of the horse edition like how they had the snake on the spacebar for shine 3, and year of the dragon editions for 2012.

I have a Shine 2 TKL that I got in Jan 2013, and the Shine 3 has a lot of more color features...but beyond that, they function the same and offer nkey rollover. Lacks the multicolored spacebar and MS lag time feature though.

I want to like the way PBTs look on a backlit board, but with boards like the Shine where the backlight really makes the board what it is, I just can't get on board with non-backlit caps. It's a real shame too, since I really don't like ABS, but that's what 90% (probably more ) of backlit caps are made of.

yeah partially you're right. After many many many keycaps on keyboard i finally came up with "solution" white dsa pbt backlight is legit;).

Different materials. PBT is generally higher quality and has a rougher surface, while ABS is more "slippery" and the keys can wear quicker.
