3 G80's and a SPOS
« on: Sat, 15 February 2014, 15:08:33 »
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-4-Mixed-Cherry-Keyboards-MX-8100-SPOS-/271266880195?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item3f28c41ac3

2 G80-8113's and 1 G80-8963.  Going by model numbers, all 3 should be lasered POM with MX Blacks, though the 8113 on the left in the first picture looks like it has doubleshot legends.  At $40 a board its not a bad deal, even if its all lasered caps (not including the SPOS).

I think the G80-8113s are brown switches. no clue on the 8963 myself.

I think one might be black and one might be brown.  One of them is a LUAUS and the other is an LRDUS (second letter of the code indicates switch, but cherry is notorious for not following it consistently; U = mx black usually according to the DT wiki).

For some reason, cherry model number conventions go out the window when dealing with POS boards. They are all either brown or clear, and all the ones I've ended up getting are brown.

If you notice the two 8113's have ANSI enter keys, which are less common (and more awesome).

I really want to know the difference between a G80-8113 huaus and a G80-8113 hubus. I have both and I can't differentiate!

Ivan seemed to think it has to do with the capabilities of the card reader.

The Cherry site lists the 8113 as 'with optional barcode decoder'. The G80-8113LRAUS is with barcode decoder, and the G80-8113LRDUS is without barcode decoder, everything else identical. The D doesn't have the two connectors for the barcode decoder either - '6-pin DIN 240° socket, 9-pin SUB-D plug'

Accoding to the technical data and models sections of this page anyway. Perhaps thats the same for the doubleshot A and B versions.

The 8113 on the left must be double-shot, the font legend is different to the rest :/

That's the thing, the 3 pictures of the labels doesn't reflect that.   I'm leaning towards seller mixed up the pictures of his boards, honestly.

^^ I was thinking the same thing, especially since they have other auctions for boards with doubleshots.
