Fujitsu Peerless.

Do you happen to have any information on those?

Are they worth a try just for the obscurity?

Looking at the lights that shine through the lock keys, it looks like the same switches on my Epson Equity board.  It's a spring over rubber dome with a funny cap.  Decent key action, soft click, not as notchy as an M, but more precise than most of today's boards.

Does the Epson Q203A feature these switches as well?

I bought one for cheap and am now pondering buying the Fujitsu for slightly more ...

I would guess it does.  The switches on the Epson seem to be the only variety that allow locklights to shine through the keys like on the Fujitsu.

Hey I just found one of those in my garage, branded Vegas.
I tried to type a little with it and it really feels good!

P.S. Sorry for exhuming an old post!

Fujitsu Peerless and "really feels good"? To each their own, I guess. The good news is that many of those keyboards had quite nice dye-sub PBT caps and a solid curved plate.

I forget what mine felt like before I stripped and cleaned it and potentially washed away all the lubricant, as a lot of the stabilised keys are really stiff. Space bar is also messed up as the absurdly tacky strengthening spring (wrapped around the stabiliser) isn't set correctly.

For me personally, they're pretty decent. They have the long pretravel of buckling spring (which Fujitsu seemed to be copying) but with a nice medium weight and a gentle click that's more office friendly.

I have to clarify this. I am a newbie to "good" keyboards world. Just comparing with my past experience, made of lots of rubber domes and a mechanical once. I have to say that the PBT caps are really immortal - they are a little dirty but still as new. Perhaps, how u suggest to clean them?

The first 'mech' I used was a fujitsu peerless switch. They really are terrible, not much better than a nice rubber dome
