Well, that escalated quickly

Bought my first mechanical keyboard 2 months ago - a QFR MX Brown.  Here's what happened next:

Oh, a lot of gamers seem to prefer Cherry MX Red.  Let me buy one of those.  Hey, these keyboards come with an extra set of WASD keys.  Wow, those were really easy to replace and my keyboard looks awesome.  I wonder if there are places that sell keys in different colors.  Hey, WASDKeyboards let's you pick out full sets in custom colors!  And they give you the option of having O-rings pre-installed.  Let's get some of those too to keep things quiet.  I wonder if there are mechanical keyboards made specifically to be quiet.  Matias, Realforce, HHKB all have keyboards designed to be quiet.  Let's try out an HHKB Type-S.  It looks kind of boring though.  I wonder if I can get custom keys similar to what I have on my QFR.  Hm, a lot of my searches are leading me to some website called geekhack.com.

And now I spend every day making sure there isn't someone out there selling colorful blank Topre sets.  I've installed bpiphany's Frosty Flake controllers on two of my QFRs to make them HHKB-like.  I've wasted money on novelty caps because I didn't know there were different profiles (cherry R1 keys fit surprising well on R2 of an OEM layout where Del, End, PgDn are).  I'm waiting for Ivan's Cherry PBT group buy to come to fruition.  I'm seriously considering sanding and painting my QFR tops.  I'm half heartedly considering dying my own Topre blanks.  I'm actively trying to restrain myself from getting a soldering kit so I can assemble my own 60% keyboard for which I will have absolutely no use.

...and I've only been here less than a month, according to my profile.  Thanks guys...
