CM Storm Mizar-IME/DA-shaped mouse
« on: Tue, 25 February 2014, 03:17:48 »
http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/signup/mizar/

This is the mouse that was teased along with the CM Storm Topre hybrid keyboard a while back. It's a laser mouse, I think I remember CM representatives saying that there's an Optical version as well from CES, so I'll be waiting for that. I'm a fan of the OG IME shape, so I'm going to pick up one of these to try them out.

It would be fantastic if they could keep this mouse in the Xornet/Spawn price range.

The CM Storm Mizar I've tested had a 5~7 CDs LOD (which is HUGE, it was really insane) and the tracking was also looking weird. Now, the CM Storm Alcor in the other hand was looking great when I used it at an event:

I enjoy seeing more IME clones, but I like even more when they're done right and CM has to fix a few quite a few things on the Mizar (including wrong specifications in the box, that fugly software and the tracking issues it has) before its release.

It would be nice to get both and try them out.  I haven't ruled the Avago Laser Sensors as unholy demons of hell just yet  ;) .

The CM Storm Alcor+  will be released in a few months and will come with an AVAGO 3310 and a few upgrades.

The standard CM Storm Alcor isn't planned to be released in the United States.

Let me know when the Alcor is available.

Well, they're not, but the Mizar had a 5~7 CDs LOD when I tested its prototype, so...  :-X
