Hey.
I just modded a cherry board with some blue switches to replace the blacks and am quite surprised by how different they feel and sound compared to a board with a metal plate.
The sound is deeper and quieter. I guess the resonance in the plate makes a lot of the sound.
Also they seem to have a softer bottoming out.
This must be due to the softer PCB compared to the steel which holds the switch quite near to the top.
Anyone else able to make this comparison?
Its nice to now have 2 G80-1856 boards. One with blues and one with browns.
The black switches are in a G80-3000 and feel very nice in it. Better than in the board they came in.
