So my wife got home the other day and was telling me about her day when she mentioned to one of her co-workers that I was waiting for this GB to go through and turns out the other co-worker is a lurker here.

And did you pretend to be someone else :o :D

Also....small world....melvang your wife has spies....  :))

I think it would be really awkward and cool at the same time to randomly meet a gh'er, unplanned.

And I've sold these to a couple gh'ers who live in the same town as each other but I'm not sure if they know each other.

I spose.  Know if someone said they didn't know rowdy or spamray then I would be surprised.

Tipo33 is from my home town. But he lives in naples. Well, the answer is no...
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

I met laffindude in taiwan when I went back last year.

Met him back last year in January cause he wanted a Taiwan keycap and I gave him a few other novelty caps.
He treated me by showing me all the places to get keyboard stuff in taipei and also we had Mango ice lol.

2nd time I met up with him just to chill and talked with him and ...crap i forgot the other guy's name lol.  Anyway we just had a chill dinner talking about keyboards/caps and what not lol.

I really wonder whether spamray looks like that bearded guy he's got on most of his avatars. He really seems to like beards.

When I went out to MechanicalKeyboards.com for the first time, I didn't know that the person I was talking to was the owner aka ShakeR. It wasn't until my 2nd trip to their location that Caleb explained to me who he was.

Maybe. I was using my Poker at work once, and this dude that works in another department walked by me and said "Poker?" and I was like "HELL YEAH" and then he walked away.

I'm sure he goes on here to know what a Poker is.

I first heard of a poker on another forum before I came here, one of the reasons I found this place.

There are a few ghers in Orlando from what I've seen from users' location info.

I only have met one so far--A co-worker from a past job that initially introduced me to geekhack. I don't know his username though or if he is even active.

I must have had the rather unfortunate pleasure of encountering one of you at the crack house.
By crack house, I mean PMT shop or Philz.

I sold a keyboard to a guy on an auction site last weekend.  We live in the same city so we met up instead of shipping.
He seemed to knew a bit about keyboards and vintage electronics so we talked a bit. He is registered as "gunnish" here and is not very active, with only 19 posts.

You would never find me at Philz. Try Chromatic Coffee, Bellano, or Epicenter Cafe. :D

My girlfriend's friend (now my friend) has a roommate who's on geekhack. I saw his filco and other keyboard on their desk and geekhack came up when talking.

Still don't know who they are, but they're here somewhere

I can't be the only geekhacker iun Portland, but I have yet to meet any fellow enthusiasts.
One day, perhaps.
If today had been a hippo, then you'd really have to worry about tomorrow.
