For the 12 people who this applies to:

I recently picked up a Siig Minitouch. When I used it with my Ziotek blue cube PS2 - USB adapter, I was getting a bunch of missed keystrokes, leading me to suspect problems with the keyboard. However, I hooked the keyboard to an old 98 machine via PS2 and it worked great. Funny, because the blue cube is usually considered the best adapter. It works great with all my other boards.

Now to find a replacement. I will post an update when I find something that works better.
Please consider carefully before you decide to comment, for Jesus.

I'm rocking one of these adapters. Works fine with my Minitouch and I believe it's active.

Can confirm.  These work great with pretty much everything I've thrown at it, Minitouch included.

Gentlemen, thank you for the suggestions. I stopped by a local computer parts store and picked up one of these, which seems to work fine: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?gclid=CO6ltZCXpb0CFURlfgod3QgAXQ&Item=N82E16812186138&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-Mouse+%2f+Keyboard+%28PS2%29+Cables-_-N82E16812186138&ef_id=Uy0A1wAAAbOfOjDk:20140322031743:s

Mkawa, I will PM you - wouldn't mind picking up one of these adapters anyway.

they're pretty cool, and were one of my first inventory purchases as geekhackers. unfortunately, i bought way too many of them, and typically lose money when i ship small orders out in general, so here they sit. as with the kester, i'm trying to fix this so that they are generally available at all times, as was my original intention, but i'm so swamped and so behind on other things that are basically on fire at the moment, that this has been shoved way down the stack.

in the meantime, please feel free to shoot me PMs requesting adapters. i'm happy to take and fill orders, but i may appear to be a bit unreliable prior to money collection. feel free to just ping me repeatedly if this happens and eventually (as time goes to infinity...) i'll take care of you :)

thanks folks!
