Interesting choice with that corsair. I wish more TKL MX board would include a dedicated vol knob and play/pause media button.
People use their computer to listen to music / stream video a lot.
Not sure if I'm the only one who noticed this but people will say they found xyz to be their be all end all keyboard but that will still change as you try more boards.
I agree with you 100%, lighter switches are better for long typing sessions especially for aging hands.
I really like MX brown too but I found that once you change the keycaps, especially the spacebar, it becomes less `tight'.
No matter what I tried, grease, tape, etc it still rattles a bit more than the unmodded factory condition.
So RF variable silence is now my main driver. If you haven't already, you should take a look, it is even easier on your hands than MX red/brown, especially you're hardcore with 7-8 hours of daily use.
Another upside with RF is that I can stop fantasizing about customizing my board with different keycaps etc and I stop visiting this forum as often
Sorry to derail this thread.
I want to buy a black one and swapped the keycap, sell the BoW and keep the WoB too but I couldn't bear going through all these buy sell cycles.
The RF with black case and white keycap is definitely worth the premium if any of you like 55g.

We don't share common ground; we share a common universe! We are at one. I, too, have grown tired of the buy-and-sell cycle. I'm happy with this keyboard, and I believe I'll stay with this key switch. I've had my share of modding keyboards and buying one to install select parts on another. And I think, for me, I can't afford to continue to do it.
I really appreciate the volume control on the K65. When I go to youtube, I used to pull out a mouse I have with a programmed volume control or grab a keyboard with an Fn/volume control. This KB has everything I want.
I found on the Cooler Master keyboards I've owned, that when I removed the costar-stabilized switches, for whatever reason, they we a bit more wobbly when I reconnected them. I feel your frustration with the space-bar issue.
I think for many of us, the current KB or newly discovered KB is 'the best one, ever.' The newness of a KB can often color one's opinion--myself included.
I did the key cap thing on the 87U I have for sale: bought a white one and changed keys, selling the white KB, at a loss, of course; but I had to have white/gray caps--you know the allure.
It's interesting that you like the variable RF. I never tried one; if I have an opportunity, I'll have to try one. But, I'm quite enjoying these linear switches. I find no tactility to be very comfortable. I would guess the variable 87U's 30-gramn Topre switches must feel similar to a linear switch. I had a 45-gram 87U and sold it, which, in hindsight, I probably should have kept. But I was set on the 55-gram 87U.
I enjoy your responses, thanks for taking the time. We do share a similar cerebral universe. It's good to be with kindred people.
