Steelseries Xai Not Detected on Bootup
« on: Mon, 31 March 2014, 23:26:38 »
So I have experiencing the infamous not-detected-immediately-on-bootup syndrome that plagues many steelseries mice, including the Xai and Sensei. What happens is, when you first bootup the computer with the mouse plugged in, the mouse is not detected. You will have to unplug, and re-plug, and then wait for about a minute for the mouse to be recognized. Has anyone found a solution for this common problem?

Tried already. I think it has somthing to do with the memory on the mouse confusing windows.

Hmm, update driver and unplug/plug back in? I would update the MB USB chipset drivers just to be on the safe side.

bootcamp... :( does the same thing in osx, so I'm pretty sure it is just an inherent trait of the Xai and Sensei. I have read that steelseries reps acknowledge this issue, but fail to release any fix or update.

yea... thanks dude. I am considering swapping the rubber shell with my sensei raw glossy, as well as swapping the scroll wheel over also. So from the top, it looks the same :D but then no screen :(
