Although the contrast between the green keycaps and the white legends was not as good as I hoped.

3000HAV. Black legends are doubleshot. Red legends are pad printed. As you can see, the contrast on GMK/Cherry pad printing is really good. They also use a clear coat, so they won't wear away for a long time...

They look more like DS than sublimated. In any case, it is very hard to believe that legends this bold and defined could be made with pad printing. Also they do not seem to have any thickness over the caps surface, that means there is no ink at all over the caps, fact that leads to think they are not pad printed.

That makes sense, thank you for the heads up on your comment, I really did not catch it before. However I do not see this example as representative of main stream pad printing, which is just acceptable as its best. I do not know if this example of pad printing is currently available, but I am pretty sure that may be very expensive, if not a vintage example of an old process.

Obviously, it has amazing pad-printed quality. I thought you was joking and the red colour is dye-sub. Learn new things everyday.
