How to check if a Cherry switch is bad?
« on: Sat, 19 April 2014, 09:42:19 »
I'm having some issues with my Ergodox setup (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=57182.0), and I was wondering -- how can I check if a Cherry switch connection is good? Can I use a multimeter? What setting would I use on a multimeter?
Thanks!

Put your multimeter to the continuity symbol. Then run a continuity test to make sure your soldering job was done properly and that the switch is functioning. Check out this link from Lady Ada for more info.

Welp, forgot my basic electronics here!
Since they are SWITCHES, I need to press them when doing a continuity check!!!  :))
