Have Filco Prices Gone up in the US?
« on: Tue, 06 May 2014, 18:37:38 »
I have a Filco MJ2 TKL MX Black NIB that I'm going to try to sell again (come on guys, you know you want it...asking $100 shipped in the US only) and I did a quick search to see what they are going for at Amazon. They are listed at close to $200! WTF? I think I paid ~$145 for it. Is that what they are really going for now or is Amazon overpriced?
SSKs for everyone!

You'll notice that any Filco going for ~$150 is being sold by KeyboardCo. Others are being sold by companies in Japan, hence the higher prices.

Amazon has some of those board that range from $175 - $250 depending on board and switch. So, yes they have gone up but its because of where they are coming from.

Good to see that KBC is still pricing them right. That's where I got mine via Amazon.

Amazon is no longer a direct retailer for Filc keyboards. Perhaps they're waiting for new stock. Yes, they were around $140 to $150. The stores in Japan are getting too much for FM2 KBs.

Any chance of seeing some 'snaps' of your FM2?

I thought Amazon was selling them in the US for TKBC out of the UK and guessed that the stock just got low? That's too bad if they aren't going to continue that avenue of sales. Filcos are great boards, but they aren't worth more than ~$150.

It's sold I think. I'm just waiting for payment. I'll post it in a new thread if it doesn't work out.
