Need help with LEDs & Color Scheme
« on: Sun, 01 June 2014, 20:26:50 »
Im looking to figure out some sort of color configuration for my Shine III TKL. It has purple (pinkish) LEDs and I dont have any experience with leds under non-translucent OEM caps.. I want to have a pink and black base configuration when Im all finished.. but I want the backlight to still look nice and vibrant and not be this gaudy glow hurting the look of the whole piece.

Does anyone who has experience with this want to help me think up a configuration or point me in the right direction for caps fitting this scheme?

Im thinking lighter pink may look better with black but Im worried pinkish purple LEDs on pink keys will not contrast well.

Edit: Also Im not locked into pink. Any other suggestions or ideas are welcome. If there is a paracord usb cable I can match the keys too that anyone suggests I would love that.

What I did for my watermelon board was pink LED's on modifiers and white LED's on alphas.  I thought it looked really nice, especially on the lower settings where it was more ambient glow rather than IN YO FACE.

At the moment Id like to avoid de-soldering anything. The LEDs are the OEM purple that comes with the Shine 3 on every switch. If I were to do an LED mod I may do something similar.. but I -really- like that pinkish purple LED and would like to encorporate it through the entire design process.
