Sticky buckling spring

The m key on my model m has been acting up recently. It's really stiff, and has a habit of sticking as it's coming back up, sometimes stopping entirely at the bottom.

Have you tried re-seating it?

I'd try swapping it with another key to see if it's the keycap or the barrel.

And the result was...? I assume it wasn't the keycap? Check if the barrel looks broken. Might be a defect hammer/spring, too.

It still clicks, when I swap it with another, it's still pretty sticky

OK so it's not the keycap. If it's the spring/hammer you can replace those, but it requires some work. A broken barrel would be worse, if at all fixable.

Look at the barrel and spring under good lighting and see if you can identify any inconsistencies compared to other barrels and springs. If the problem is close to the pivot plate, you might not be able to see it.

At this point, I think it might just be the set, because the "t", "i", and "r" are acting up too now.
