What have you guys done to me?

So I've been using a G110 for a couple years now. Mostly for gaming.  Hardly use any of this extra **** on here. So I decided I wanted to get a new keyboard.  My brother has a blackwidow and I liked the way it type's better than this thing.  However, I was looking for something smaller.  I saw a guy's Leopold f200 on reddit somewhere with cream/green keys, and loved it.  So I went on a hunt.  Which led me here.  Holy ****, I didn't know things could get so serious w/ keyboards.  A bit overwhelming to be honest.  But I'm excited to go down this road. Wasn't sure where to start, but I have a cherry mx/oring sampler kit coming.  It should be here tomorrow.  Curious about the topre stuff though also.  Is there anywhere I could try that out?  Or is there a tester kit I can get for that also? I really like the look of the Noppoo choc mini 84.  Not sure if I want it in black.  I know I can replace the keys easy enough.  But what about the case?  Are there any other's that are compact like this that I should look into?  I would prefer them to still have the function keys because I play some mmo's(WildStar currently) and I like to bind keys to those as well.  I've been lurking here for a few days now and you all seem to have a great community that I'm excited to join.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Programmable keyboards and HHKB have function + number keys mapped to the function row~
There are plenty ways around needing the +60% keys and still being able to use a 60% board.

Poker is nice.

For topre? Type heaven is 120 on elitekeyboards.com at the moment. It's topre. Not sure if there is a topre switch tester floating around..

I think the easiest way to try out topre is to buy a topre board, a key ring with a topre switch costs almost as much as regular decent membrane keyboard.

But if you're interested compact keyboard AND trying out topre, may I recommend buying an HHKB Pro 2 - It might be expensive but why not start at endgame.

I don't need the keyboard itself to be programmable.  I can just bind what I need to those keys in game.
