Actually I'd say many of them do in some way, but the result usually ends up looking like utter consumer crap rather than classy.

There seems to be a big effort by manufacturers to make components more ornamental than they are functional these days, but hopefully that's not the case.

I don't dig the design of this board. At all. It tries too hard. It's like a riced up car. Big spoilers that do nothing. Crap engine under the hood.

It's not what I would call elegant.

A HHK on the other hand, is pure form following function. And it looks great as a result.

Y'know, I used to think the huge "top shelf" on a 1391401/AT101W/G80-3000 was silly when the PCB is now the size of a postage stamp, but then I realized it was a tidy ledge for propping up information (i. e. business cards or similar sized items).  To a degree, I can see the "Ultra-minimalist" HHKB look actually compromising that benefit.  It's like when they start trimming off useful keys-- small for the sake of small.

Aww hey, I'm 16 and I know that Logitech's products are based on flashing lights, numbers and marketing bull****. That load of crap is so not necessary and although I use a G5 and want a G9, it's because the G5 was the first gaming mouse that I saw and felt. The click was amazing so I bought one. I want the G9 because I found out too late that I was a claw grip user with small hands, and G9 is pretty much the only claw.

On the marketing bull**** again, I use my mice at max dpi no matter what, I never change it, and I don't look at it while playing. I make full use of the macros and extra buttons. Ikari is perfect for me other than the fact that I can't hold it properly. It is EXTREMELY comfortable when used in the palm grip, but I just don't like that.

Real gamers use nostromos anyway, so why wouldn't they have a mechanical keyboard? lol  Unless you don't know how to program your nostromo that you can do like 30 keys with which is way more than any game needs, you don't need a gaming keyboard.  So why not have a top of the line mechanical for your main typing tool.  I can't stand having a rubber dome keyboard with the amount of typing I do.  They're painful to my fingers.

Nostromo, FTW. Why take up a couple of fingers with WASD when you can thumb the D-pad and have all your digits free for other things?

I'd be defending the Nostromo N52 more if I hadn't been using quality keyboards for a while now. You have to admit, for all the N52's goodness the keys are mush.

This is one case where the overall functionality of the device outweighs key swtich quality (IMO).  When I am (was) gaming, I could have cared less about the switches, since I would just mash the buttons, anyway.  When I am typing, though, that's a different story.

I have the G5 and the G9 but highly prefer the G9 because of the claw grip like you mention above.  It's a great mouse, period!

I was about to pull the trigger on a Ebay Orange Button N52 (the new ones don't have a good rep) but I'm watching the G13 to see if they do a rev 2 soon.

The te has awesome keys.  Well maybe not awesome, but better than the original n52 anyway.  They're really great gamepads.  No need for drivers or anything unless you want to program it too.  I have two of them that I use with 5 of my machines for different tasks. Everything from playing poker, fps games, to designing, sketching, and drawing.  Awesome things.
