Keycaps and Dogs don't mix.
« on: Thu, 26 June 2014, 23:25:23 »
Left them on my bed, dog (sibling's pet) got ahold of em.

Aside from that there were three other yellow gasmasks that were affected (not pictured), one's missing (yellow with blue eyes), another with blue eyes made it barely unscathed (some marks on the underside, can't tell otherwise), the other was a bit more noticeable, but not as bad the one pictured.

Had the keys out briefly to take some pics of the Leopold keys.

What's more of a bummer is how this was a really good night for me, celebrated birthday with some friends I hadn't seen in ages and had dinner with the fam. Then this just had to coincide with today.

Still in the venting process so it's hard to see the light which is that I had other keys/keysets that would have been much worse.

Anyway.....learn from my mistakes bros, never trust *****es with your keycaps.

Thanks Sifo, b-day was on 23rd though delayed dinner due to other's schedules etc.

Have another Leopold set on the way at least, though the gasmasks are out for the count. Might go double check on the rest of the stuff to make sure that was all that was taken.

Let your guard down for one night :/

I had a dog once who decided to eat paper money.

Fortunately, it was World War I era German notes, common as dirt.

At least they are not Clacks or BroBots! That would be even more heartache.

I hear ya, though I don't any of those XD. Relieved it avoided my SA keysets, 1 key lost from that could ruin the whole thing.

In the grand scheme it's not so bad....still, whhhyyy

True that. Am turning this into a learning experience, in some weird way it's actually more comforting that they other keys were avoided more than it is upsetting at what was damaged. Like someone robbing your house and only taking the silverware when they could have cleaned you out lol

Have to stop looking at those keys/pics though, cringeworthy...

Keycaps and dogs will mix if you put them in a blender large enough. Maybe one of these:

I fostered a dog for a few months and it decided to eat a keyboard. Luckily it was a wireless rubber dome I used for the media center.

An entire corner of keys had dents and holes. Two keys where stuck shut/on. There was no saving it.
