G84-4100 Conector Identification Help

So a buddy at work brought this to me today knowing my mild obsession and neither of us were very clear on what kind of connector it has and how difficult it would be to convert to PS/2.  If anyone has any insight it would be much appreciated, thanks

looks like serial (RS232 or similar.)

Given how new the G84 is, it likely will do PS/2 with a passive adapter. Even if not, here are active serial to USB adapters and I believe you can use the UART pins on a teensy though I dont know more about that.

Oh officially, that's a DE-9 "D subminiature" connenctor.

Thanks! I don't think that it has ever been used with the overall condition of the board and the way the wire is wrapped.  The manual is dated '98 and mentions AT and PS/2 compatibility and gives a pin diagram for both but makes no mention of serial.  I'll have to pull out the "random adapter" bin at work and see what I can find in there.  With only 4 wires and a ground I don't imagine it would be too terribly difficult to just wire it up to pure PS/2.
