I saw somewhere that they solder Teensy without pins to make PCB Low Profile, can that work?
I did that on mine and it turned out very nice. Its about as low profile as is absolutely possible with the teensy. I applied solder flux to the holes on both the Phantom and Teensy, inserted pins in the four corners as "guides", filled the other holes with solder until it jumped the gap between the two PCBs, then removed the guide pins and filled those holes with solder. It was
very tedious but it turned out well and I haven't had any durability issues yet. If you do this, make sure you put a strip of black tape in-between the PCB's.
In fact, it was so low and close to the board I had trouble getting most of the mini-usb connectors I had to plug in without straining the female connector on the Teensy. I had a custom cable made by Pexon without the connector housing so it would fit without stressing anything.
Whether or not that is low enough for the Tex case I don't know ...
