Question about no. of actuations vs duration

Calling all MX experts.

We all know that cherry switches last for tens of millions of actuations, but does the duration of said actuation affect the lifespan of the switch?

I ask this because I like driving games, the Formula 1 franchise in particular, but I don't have a controller or driving wheel to fly round all these amazingly rendered tracks, so I have to use my keyboard. Because of this, and because I'm an incredible 1337 driver, I gotta go fast, and my W and S keys get pressed down for a long time. Will this have a detrimental effect on the lifespan of the switches do you reckon?

I seriously doubt it would have any noticeable difference in the life span of the switch.  I say game away with whatever switch you find the most comfy.
