Hey, I'd like an honest opinion and comparison from someone. Thanks

Hearsay, but I've heard people say they feel pretty much the same, only the tolerance on the springs is different, as in the stiffness varies a lot. I've heard people say their board with Kailh blues has some switches that feel lighter than cherry blues and some that feel stiffer than cherry greens. Also, the stems break off easier

The only pics of proof of stem breakage I've seen are from the yellow original versions.

Not that I particularly care, since I'm not really a fan of MX, it just bugs me when people say things when nothing's really been shown about them.

yeah, I've heard of stem breakage, but I've only seen one picture of it happening, and that was one of the older models. Also, does anyone have one of the new keycools with Kailh switches? How does it compare to a QFR with the "same" switch?

Yeah I've only seen the yellow stem one too.

But don't worry now we have a lot of beta testers (customers) for Razers so if you just keep following amazon review or something like that we should be able to find out soon enough.

Do you think that I can compare the special razer switches to the normal variety blue, brown, red, black Kailh switches? So far the keyboard does not have many complaints. Maybe Kailh is tightening up quality since its popularity has risen?

I don't think "Razer switches" count as the same thing, because they claim to have cherry picked (pun intended) the materials and tolerances of their switches and so on and so forth. Because of that I think we need data of Razer vs Kailh vs Cherry, and alot of it in order to say anything relatively for certain between them at all.

i seriously doubt razer put that much effort/time into it. they got a custom slider color and a spec sheet that they then 'liberally interpreted' for their advertising.

There are more differences. Razer switches are said to have gold-plated cross-point, and Kailh switches don't. The casing is tighter than Cherry MX - unpressed keys don't wobble noticeably.

i have some unbranded clones that are way tighter than cherry MX - you almost can't put stickers on them. they have a slightly different design.

who knows, maybe razer did specify a bunch of that stuff (gold cross-point lol who gives a rat, sounds like a $1000 audio ethernet cable) but i wouldn't put it past kailh to just use that for their own stuff too.

Hehe.. It was Cherry who started promoting it in their marketing for Cherry MX, which has always had it. Some other switch type or two from Cherry had it before MX though.
It is where the electrical connection in the switch is made. One end is vertical and the other horizontal, thus forming a cross. You don't want corrosion there and gold does not corrode.

I can't see Razer putting in that much effort, as the boards are a lot cheaper than their previous generations. Now I don't know how much it costs them to buy a **** ton of Cherry switches direct, but I'm sure it's less than R&Ding your own switches and manufacturing them.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

If by that you mean the pink POM stems that are also being sold in dayglo orange and are supposed to be between Clears and Browns in feel, yes.  I have no clue when it will get to me since it appears to be stuck in origin post is preparing shipment status for two weeks now.

I don't know if nubbinator has any updates, but I think people here are being far to judgmental about these switches. Two of my roommates have Tt eSPORTS boards, both with Kailh Blue switches. I don't notice ANY inconsistencies with springs stiffness, no stems have broken, and quite frankly my MX Blue switches have more play and wobble to them then the Kailhs do... Both of them game heavily and have had exactly ZERO issues with their boards/switches..
