Key cap set with same profile for all rows?
« on: Sun, 05 October 2014, 05:46:38 »
Heya folks, I'm on the hunt for a key cap set that uses the same row profile for all caps.
At least for letters. The reason is I'm planing on using different keyboard layouts than qwerty and want to rearange my caps to speed up the learning process.
Hugs!

Take a look at the DSA profile caps from Signature Plastics which have a uniform profile across all rows. They are available printed* and blank.

* Mostly as group buys

Edit: esoomenona was quicker. :)

Good suggestions, thank you. Signature Platics only do those sets in ANSI and I'm an ISO monkey, but I'll keep a look out for DSA group buys. I hadn't realized that DSA had the same profile for all rows.
Right now it hurts me plenty to have missed the Granite DSA buy which had the international kits for Swedish =( Well well, I'm hoping for a round 3.

Keep in mind that afaik there is no DSA ISO enter keycap, ISO users have to use one from the DCS family.

SA in row 3 only is also an option. Like the nuclear GB that ran recently. Most DSA GB included an ISO option, like Granite, Skull squad, and other similar, there is an interest check for midnight and dolch that I think will be DSA. Check them out. Also the classifieds.

As others have said, DSA or all Row 3 SA profile sets are all the same row profile. Just be aware that if you move F and J to different spots they could feel a bit weird since they usually have the little nubs or deep dish to distinguish them as the homing keys for touch typing. Some sets come with Colemak or Dvorak kits that would have "standard" F and J keys without the distinguishing feature.
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.
