Is this keyboard legit?
« on: Sat, 04 October 2014, 03:35:03 »
hi im just curious is this keyboard legit? I can't seem to find it anywhere and diatec's website didn't state that it has it.

Anyone in Korea can confirm it?

Oh damn I really want to get my hands on one of these. I googled ''Filco limited edition" and only this caught my eye.
But at the same time I thought it was fake as Diatec didnt list this model in their website

they are both very good quality and both have their own very very very minor quirks. both brands are well known for build quality in general so its basically just pick which ever one you like better

Leopold have been known for an odd space stem spacing (which was a deal breaker for me), I am not sure about the new 750s though. They have way better quality keycaps than stock Filco ones. The quality of the board itself is about the same, you won't notice a difference in that regard.
This sucks more than anything that has ever sucked before.

Ahh ic, I guess i'll go for this Filco keyboard. So since it is legit, the keycaps are stock Filcos right? Or rather the whole keyboard is of the top-notch Filco quality?

Step-sculpture 2 Low profile keycaps

Wonder what they mean by this. Did the Koreans convince them to go closer to Cherry profile?
I think they meant ABS keycaps

I'm wondering it the case is white white or just off white.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

It's legit. The official distributor of Filco in Vietnam is selling similar (different a bit):

FKBN87MRL/ECW2
http://01.net.vn/majestouch-2-ecw-red-switch-87

They took quite a lot of nice pictures:

@Rowdy: it is more white white
I like linear switches

Thanks for that - now I want one :))

I wondered because CCnG is not white, it is "cream cheese" - off white.  And the case looked the same colour as the keycaps.
