Looking for a 100% pcb and case for MX switches
« on: Thu, 09 October 2014, 03:37:36 »
Hello all,

I've been lurking on these forums for about a year off and on before I registered, and felt it was time to take the plunge.

Down to business, I came into a small fortune of Cherry MX Brown switches (Around 300 or so) and am itching to build my own keyboard.

The various group buys and runs of custom boards seems to be mainly 60%, nothing that the average person would consider "typical", which is what I'm looking for.

Are there any kit boards available or is this going to have to be a from scratch project?

Thanks,
Kreation

The Phantom PCB is TKL and fits some aftermarket TKL cases, IIRC.

I'm not aware of any full size, since most people who buy custom boards or make their own here don't use full size. For good reasons, IMHO.
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

Hmmm, well I guess I'll have to contact the friend that I bought these switches from and see if he still has the PCB he pulled them from. I can probably rig up a new controller using a Teensy.

The case shouldn't be too big of a deal, Acryllic sheets stacked should do nicely.

I guess you can order a case and a pcb that is 100% from sprits group buy, but you have to wait for a while to get it tho
Very busy with studies atm.
