Soon to be an owner
« on: Sat, 01 November 2014, 09:30:08 »
Hello everyone, I'm pretty new to the keyboard world, some month ago thoughts about expensive keybord were a bit arsh.
But then i discover the mechanical keybord (tried one at a friend home) and my mind changed a lot, and I'm trying to understand more and more about this world!
As a geek and a diy lover im already thinking about custom KB even before own a standard one!
So i have a lot to read (and ask) about!
Hope to blend well with the community, and you have to forgive me about my strange (and bad) english, but I'm from Italy and as you can see I'm not very good with foreign lenguages!

Welcome.  You are doing better than I could typing in another language except US English.  If it wasn't for spell check I'm pretty sure my English would be worse than yours.  Anyway, welcome and I hope you find what you are looking for.

welcome bro. enjoy reading around, before you know it you'll want to spend three digit figures on keysets

p.s. the double post is actually an ongoing forum bug, don't sweat it

Even when posting on a computer, starting a new thread will give an error, making the user try to submit again resulting in repeated threads. (I started a few duplicate threads myself.. haha.)
Post photos of you keyboard when you get one :)

Sure!
Will be the first think (even if a standard keyboard is nothing special!).
I'm still in the decision phase, im italian and im used to ISO layout (with italian keys) and there is a small number of keyboard with that layout.
I'm not scared about change layout, but if i do i want it to be compatible with most keycaps set around, so the US layout is the one to look at.
So im in the hunt of a mx clear keyboard with plain design easily customizable, but the devil in my shoulder is telling me to think about building my own from scratch!
So too much thinking right now and not a clear picture of the situation :)
