ps these are supposedly white alps with pad printed keycaps. But the price is dirt cheap. The buyer had better thank me publicly for this deal.

That's excellent. What are you folks waiting for? I'm not in the market for a numpad (I watch Genovation for the matrix keypads) and this is not my auction, so I have nothing to gain by promoting it.

Cool your jets man.  There's no point in trying to drive up the cost.  If someone wants it, let them wait and snipe it.

I see some fool chose to bid rather than do BIN. This is the kind of auction where the seller placed a low BIN and people just didn't appreciate the opportunity.

If the BIN is more than you're prepared to pay, it makes sense to put in a lower bid.  Even if the BIN is a good price for you, if you think nobody else will be interested it can still make sense to bid rather than BIN - as a calculated risk.  There is no "people" collectively deciding what to bid on an auction and foolishly paying more than necessary.
