Hi,

I'm Tanner from Atlanta, GA.  I'm particularly fond of high performance PCs and the associated peripherals.  I currently have a Lenovo Y50 and am using its keyboard (gasp pleasedontkillme) until I break down and find the right keyboard at the right price.  I'm really considering the V60 with Clears, if anyone has any educated opinions, please feel free to let me know.  If there's any other alternatives you might think are also great for someone interested in clears, also let me know!  I keep a close eye on Massdrop, and right now they've got a ton of keyboards up, so check them out: https://www.massdrop.com/buy?cat=mechanical+keyboards

Welcome to GH Tanner!

Sorry man, i couldn't resist......
As for a board, you can't go wrong with either the Poker or the V60. The poker comes stock with PBT caps but you lose out on backlight compatable caps (also grey is out of stock atm)
i've never heard of SURMT but that board does use cherry's where as the Noppoo Lolita uses Kailh browns but CPTbadass reviewed them as close to clears w/ springs like browns so i'd consider that board since it'd be 50 + shipping at the lowest so you can't really go wrong for that price. The Matias Pro is another good option as people are really seeming to like Matias switches as well.

Thanks for the input Evo, I sound remarkably crappy and fed-up after having a flu for a week right after CES  ;D  I've gotten suggestions in a dedicated thread to go with the KBP Matias switched V60, and I'm not a Cherry diehard, but it's just there's something to be said for the interchangeability on the Cherry stems keycap-wise.  I guess I'll wait for this drop to pass me by and see what comes up next between there and the classifieds on the forum.

Welcome to Geekhack!

Do you want a 60% board specifically?

A KUL is another option (although EK seems to be OOS at the moment): https://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=keyed_up_labs,tenkeyless&pid=es87u_cc_bbb_al

The CODE is another TKL keyboard with clears that is well regarded: http://www.mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=985
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
