I handled one at CES, and chatted with their product development lead.  Pretty ingenious idea.

Amazon should buy them and dump their crappy Fire Phone.

It may fit the Amazon's business model well, it would be a kindle and a phone in one: 1 million e-books in your pocket! could be the tagline Bezos can use for its unveiled. :))

A low power e-ink ebook reader with you always is something I may take advantage of, only if it were cheaper.

Yeah the price is pretty steep but considering how much iphones are and the fact that this basically has 2 screens they kept the price pretty reasonable.

I am not into iphones either. They are overpriced with no reason, this thing at least has an innovative proposal.

Now i don't know if this is true but this was in the comments on the YouTube page.

Quote
They are Japanese comedians. And this song was released in 2001, when Japan was in severe economic depression. At that time, Japan's jobless rate and suicide rate were very high. And Japanese people was highly depressed.
So, these comedians were decided to give the strength to them. And this is the result.
After this song was released, Japanese people was gained a strength, and Japan's suicide rate was droped dramatically.
The subject of this song is simple. "Although you have hurted in your life, you are winner of your own life if you are good at sleeping and awaking every day. And although you are naked and wears only one leaf, you are winner if you live your life firmly."

This gives context to the otherwise weird show.
