Chrome's new bookmarks....
« on: Thu, 05 February 2015, 21:10:46 »
For the love of god Google... How do you guys mess up bookmarks? It's clunky, takes too long to load, takes too much space. Is slow when scrolling past thousands of bookmarks...

Anyone know how I can get rid of this?

That'd be a solution. Kinda... I organize myself in a few ways. Bookmark something either interesting to read, or something I'm researching into. Or when I got my allroad, I would research common issues, chassis code, and understand the car and it's German crap.

I am under the impression that google has a lot of clutter in their ecosystem in general. Just look at all the aps that are tied in with chrome. Streamlining their offerings could be beneficial.

I have GH sections bookmarked, reviews, keyboards and keycaps on my bookmarks bar.

i like to keep mine as minimal as possible

the "going to delete this at the end of the month" bookmarks go into the stuff folder.

which reminds me, sentra and nt need to be taken off bookmark bar

Or use something like Pocket to manage things to do.

Cross-platform too!

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Found a way...
chrome://flags and scroll to bookmarks. But who knows for how long that's going to be an option?
