Hi :) this Hobbie is slowly consuming me!
« on: Tue, 17 February 2015, 21:06:18 »
Hi there! I have been a lurker for a long time and I finally decided to post!

My current board is a das 4 ultimate (cherry mx blues for now)  and in March my 40% terminus mini (cherry mx clears)  will be arriving. I've always loved to take things apart and mod them or make entirely new things out of them so mechanical keyboards appeal to me greatly. Maybe someday I'll try to build my own :D. It's nice to meet you all.

Simce this is my first post I'm currently at $350 for every post. I better start contributing so I can get to $1-$2 spent per post :)

Welcome to Geekhack!

I'd hate to think what my cost per post is   Even at $1 per post that's still more money than I'd want to admit I might or might not have spent on any one thing.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
