Hello!
« on: Sun, 03 March 2013, 11:02:40 »
I just realised that I never posted an introduction..

I'll keep it short - I'm a 15 year old from Wales in the UK. I'm not exactly a newbie to tech - I've been a member of trubritar forums for a fairly long time under the name 'Viral', and I also frequent various technology related boards and forums. However, I only recently realised how large the world of keyboards is, and so I signed up here. I spend too much time on my computer, and I play dota 2 whenever I get the chance. I'm very into music and in particular older drum and bass/jungle.
Glad to be here, and I hope to stay for a long time. I'll have to try and refrain from taking part in every group buy..

Welcome to Geekhack!

Have you got many mechanical keyboards?  We have a media section where you can post pictures :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
