Two shots in the first 30 days.. then a shot every 12 weeks.  Don't think there is an end date to treatment, auto-immune diseases ftw!  At least this stuff is supposed to stop the psoriatic arthritis from doing further damage.

so you have to do this to yourself?  or does a nurse help you out?

GL and I hope the medication works well!

ps, you guys are freaking wimps.  wait til you see the blood donation needles. :P  nothing actually scares you any more after that.

EDIT:

thank god I was doing ****tons of accupuncture before to get over my fear of needles. :)

That are typically 16-17 gauge needles, as a regular donor you get used to it.

Holy crap dude you got the crap end of the stick in the genetics department.  I'd go have a serious chat with my parents.

And this is why I hate big pharma....thats just way to expensive and that's why insurance premiums are so high.  Hospitals are scammy as hell, too.

That's a topre syringe, look at the conical spring.
Hey! I'm not the only one who thought of that...

OP, holy ****... 15k... To a 17 year old. That's like... A lot of ****ing money.
You have to take that thing daily? I always saw the commercial and thought it was a pill... You know, they should advise people when that commercial plays. "The needle is the size of king kongs dong, OP today"

Not daily, for that shot ;)  Its 1 dose followed by a second dose in 30 days, then 1 dose every 12 weeks.

But yeah, that **** is expensive.. worth more than my car
Worth 2x what my car is worth right now. I could maybe get 7-8k for it.

I can't stand needles or pills, I have a smaller than average throat, so pill swallowing is hard...

I have a funny story about needles though. In the army we have these morphine pens which look like this:

You take it out of it's hermetically sealed bag, and this is what you are greeted with. The red end is removable. So, any normal person would think, remove the red cap, apply to skin, push purple end, give morphine. But no.

For some reason, the purple end is the needle-deploying end, and one guy in my unit needed to give morphine to a person who actually needed it. In the the heat of the moment, he forgot the saying "Purpley pointy dangerous end", and did as I stated above. No sooner had he done that, a 4cm needle appears through his thumb, giving his nail a nice coating of morphine.

Unfortunately this meant that he didn't get much of it, and it hurt a lot.

Moral of the story; pay attention to stupid sayings.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Thanks! :)   My plan for this year is to move from my painted CM Storm keyboard to a keyboard I build myself.. as long as I don't burn the house down learning to solder.

Oh wow! Just saw this thread! That's a lot of scary needles and super expensive costs. I measure cost on CC instead of keyboard. Does your hospital take CCurrency? Take care OP! Hope you are taking it positively!

Sounds like you're keeping it positive!
Make sure to post pictures of the keyboard once it's done!

Have you decided on the layout of your keyboard?

I can certainly measure the cost of my medical bills in Clacks.. it has cost me 100% of the 1 I've managed to obtain :'(

I just have my Nubbinator caps left, I need to take a new picture of my keyboard without the Bro too.
