Odd actuation point Cherry MX switch issue???
« on: Wed, 25 February 2015, 22:55:11 »
Have you ever encountered a key whose switch's actuation point is odd compared to other keys? One of my keys actuate when it is nearly bottomed. It's Cherry MX Red. Other keys actuate at around the middle of the depression. How often do you get such kind of faulty keys? It's quite annoying and have to send back to distributor  >:D

Check the contacts inside the switch, they are small and really easy to bend. You may be able to fix it yourself but replacing the switch is probably the best choice. I've never had this issue but I messed up a few switches the first time I tried stickering.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done
