Unicomp experiences

I decided to order a set of blank black keys for my Model M, and had a nice conversation with one of their employees over the phone.

It's obvious to me that Unicomp takes a lot of pride in hand-making the Model M type keyboards.

Oh, and has anybody had Unicomp do any overhaul on one of their Model Ms? If so, did the keyboard feel different, or just better afterward?

If the postage to the UK isn't going to make my wallet scream for mercy, I'll be getting a set of black blanks too.

I assume they ship internationally?

I assume this is Unicomp you're talking about? They do, but the shipping will not be pleasant. Almost a third of what I paid for my Endurapro was shipping... But they're still great value for money and worth it.

Well, I've posted this once but to keep the Office Space theme going...

My red stapler never has transposition errors.

It's REAL too.

For some related trivia, Swingline didn't make a red stapler until that movie came out.  The filmmakers put a red stapler in the movie to match the script, which created such a demand for them after the movie was released that Swingline said, "Sure, why not?"

Home/Work:  Custom Filco FKBN87Z/EB and SGI 041-0136-001 chimera (original white ALPS, not simplified, rubber-dampened)
Gaming:  Wolfking Warrior with custom-colored layout, HHKB Lite 2 (Rubber dome)

i only finally watched office space (despite years of my friends recommending it to me) after that *brilliant* family guy spoof of the printer-destruction scene, when stewie and brian destroy the 'bird is the word' record that peter kept playing over and over. That was just sheer genius :)
