Unicomp 18P7970 8-27-2004.  I am guessing it is the "On the Stick" keyboard.

I believe that Wyatt8740 wanted one of these.  I haven't seen him on in a while.  Hopefully he will get it.

Note that the ad text says, "All keys works fine  EXCEPT THE MOUSE POINTER DOES NOT WORK"

Unicomp calls their current version of the M13 the EnduraPro. You can get one brand new with working track point and warranty for $99 at pckeyboard.com.

I believe Wyatt was looking for the "On The Stick" model or the Trackpoint II (White or Black).  They don't have Windows keys and use a different technology for the mouse mechanisms.  He specifically did not want the EnduraPro keyboard.  Hense, why I mentioned Wyatt.

Since this keyboard does not have a functional mouse, it's not even worthwhile to him.

Oh well.

A failed trackpoint is most likely a failure in the mechanism or ribbon cable, not the controller, and Unicomp sells compatible mechanisms in the $15 range last I checked.  Should be easily fixable.

Hopefully he will get it and fix it too!  That would be good.  I haven't seen him online in a couple weeks, though.  That's the only person I could think of offhand that wanted one of them.

This is the same board I had pointed out to him back in Feb.

He did not purchase it.

Yeah remember how excited he was about it then?  Now he has the opportunity again, and still won't buy it.  I guess he likes to pursue the thrift shops and swap meets to find a bargain.  I just hope he finds what he wants.
