I'm anxious to watch them but I might wait for 1080 before I do though, that way I won't be dry on episodes for 4 weeks.

I read the books two years ago. And just last Oct I decided to start on the HBO series because iTunes has sales. And wow, I love the books but the TV series manage to make it better!!! Now that Season 5 is starting, I have to wait till next year before they are available in iTunes - I know about HBO Now but I prefer to own this series. Go see them!!!!

It's not bad quality. It's just not HD.

So today is the last day for a 30 day trial of HBO Now and I subscribed for the trial. I'm also using a DNS service called UnoTelly that allow me, in Malaysia, to stream from US (even Netflix works) and I just watched Season 5 Ep 1 in HD. It was super excellent. There are 4 more episodes to go and I think by the time my trial ends, I should be at Ep 8 or 9. For free! Legally too!!!

Go try em!

And if you do decide on UnoTelly ($5/month) please put me as referral :p

PS with UnoTelly which is just a DNS service, it does not screw up your online gaming, especially those with Punk Buster or other anti cheat which doesn't like VPN.

I'm 3 in, I've been watching them when the show normally plays. I don't have HBO.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

I feel like the only person in America that doesn't watch this show.  And I refuse to watch it in order to continue building my hipster cred.
Wish I had some gif or quote for this space, but I got nothing

The real hipster cred is you read the books then say the show sucks because it's not verbatim. That's where I'm at. 8)

Nah, you have to say the show sucks to be hipster. Or say you don't watch it.

I don't watch it. ;)
