« on: Thu, 16 April 2015, 02:18:46 »
Currently only with Cherry MX browns, my question is... Is it worth it? Should i get it? I currently have a Corsair K70 with reds but i'm kinda looking for a board without a number pad, this one is to wide but i don't really need another board (you know how this works...  :p )

Looks like MX blue and green switches have been added.

I have a QFS with MX greens - fantastic board!  It hasn't missed a beat.

I also have QFR with MX blacks - another fantastic board!

QFS/QFR has a standard layout, so nearly any replacement keycap set will fit.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Have two of these.  Not bad, no real complaints.  I like he windowed toggle keys.

I have the QFR with browns and I really like it.  Its well built and the space saved with the tkl is well appreciated on my desk.

Well,  I didn't buy it haha 😂  I'm looking for a mini keyboard  so I don't have to reach too far for the mouse,  I hope there is a drop soon for a leopold 660,  or vortex releases the backlit Pok3r, or a Matías Clicky Mini board, but I would prefer to have arrow keys.  :O

Only because it wasnt a race probably. I have a 60, tkl and full so i think i'd only pull the trigger on a 75%.

Do you really like the full?  I find difficult to appreciate the ergonomics of full-size boards.

i find myself using the numpad more than the arrows, so I would prefer something like the TK executed a little better. Also one that works natively on macs would be nice.

I'm generally a full size fan for general use although TKL definitely feels better for gaming. My gaming on comp is limited to sc2, which sadly is less than 2hr a week otherwise I'd probably have a TKL as my main.

Have you considered getting a TKL and an external numpad?

I feel your pain about board compatibility with OS X
but then, this is probably the last Apple computer i buy, they suck now. Their policies, their bug fixing, their new products, their promiscuous backdoors  :p . Spoiled little apples.

I have but I believe most of the numpads available now are kalih? I'd probably get greens for those if I could.
