Cherry MX terminal keyboards?
« on: Mon, 01 June 2015, 18:28:01 »
I'm sure we've all seen the big bulky 122 key IBM terminal keyboards, and the cherry G80-2500 (and variants) that copied the layout, but does anyone know of any other cherry MX (or otherwise mechanical) keyboards that share this layout? About a year ago someone had a "Maple 122" branded one, which was definitely not just a rebranded G80. Does anyone know of any similar non G80 keyboards, or a source of a Maple 122 that's not the guy from Australia on DT?

Edit: Imgur album of the maple keyboard. Note the differences in the case from the G80

Editedit: And might as well ask while I'm here, are there any old brands of Cherry MX terminal keyboards _other_ than wyse?

I've seen an MX version from Computer Labs International. It may be the same keyboard as the Maple but in a dark color.
There are loads and loads of other terminal brands with MX besides Wyse such as Reylonds, Link, Triad, Executone, UCS, Beckman, etc, etc. Though, many of them are actually the exact same keyboards as Wyse just with their different branding and sometimes colorway. I have seen some others too, that were clearly 'unique' keyboard models but the names escape me at the moment.
There are also lots with other types of mechanical switch like Alps, NMB, SMK, Futaba, etc.
