Cherry G81-3020 HAU/03 ?
« on: Sun, 04 October 2015, 23:09:17 »
I found this keyboard and it looks promising, but I can't find no info about it. So, here's pics:

Here's link to item - http://aukro.ua/mehanicheskaya-klaviatura-gulip-germaniya-i5697323538.html

Does anyone knows, what are those switches are? The thing is that I have plans to disassemble it and change it to my custom keyboard, so I want it to be semi-mechanical to mess with membrane matrix, while here I can see one, hence I'm not sure.. So, anyone knows? thx.

Maybe I could tweak those switches to fully mechanical someway?). I just don't want (can't) create matrix for it..

hmm.. dunno enough about matrices to answer your question.. you're trying to change the layout of this board? I think you should be able to pop out each switch by pressing on the two pins of each switch from behind the plate and you may be able to pop them back in to other spots make a different layout but I don't know if the membranes support that (I do see other switch placement spots even in your photo though which suggest it's possible).

anyways, those switches are pretty horrible (general consensus) but those keycaps are really nice and highly sought after doubleshots that are compatible with mx switches.

I've heard bad things about MY switches, but the keycaps might be pretty nice. Good find anyway.

Amazing! You have found a keyboard (or at least one with similar keycaps) I've been trying to find information on for a long, long time.

I've only seen Cherry keycaps like this with small cyrillic lettering once before here : http://www.otd.kr/gn/bbs/board.php?bo_table=album&wr_id=47115&sca=&sfl=mb_id%2C1&stx=inhim&page=2

I contacted the owner of that keyboard and he couldn't remember the part number or anything..

It's strange that it's a HAU, and it's also strange that the top case and bottom case have different branding.

EDIT : I know for a fact that the one @ OTD did not just have cyrillic stickers put on my a previous owner, and was pad printed. However, it's occured to me that this one could just be stickers.
