There is absolutely nothing wrong with having 3 or more HHKBs!
what about you, hhkb hapster? how many do you own?

I must regrettably report that budgetary constraints limit me to ownership of just one HHKB, a non-silenced white edition.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Going to collect my Type-S in 2 days from a friend.

Now I have another dilemma. I've been wanting a MX board so I can put some MX caps in, but I have no idea what to buy. Was gonna settle on the Novatouch but I found out MX Bros won't fit because of the square stems.

I had purchased a Poker 2 too because Pok3r is not yet available in my country, and yesterday I yanked one of the stems right out. Being me, I feel disgusted and had no intention to fix it cause it turns out I have to desolder the damn thing.

Now I can buy a Pok3r with clears just to play around with, or still go with the Novatouch for the Topre experience.

Help guys?

edit: Forgot to mention I already have 3 keysets on the way: DSA Dolch, Granite, and Eve. Also just remember about the FC660M, but that spacebar though...

You pulled out the stem? How does that work?  Soldering switches is easy, but getting them off(without proper tools) is hell. At least I managed to find some tool, that looks like key cap puller and it grips switches perfectly, so it wasn't that bad in the end.

Was trying some POM keycaps and I misplaced one so I had to take it off. Yanked the stem to my surprise.

The POM keycap was kinda stiff and I forgot to wiggle instead of just pulling them up.

Same here dude, I feel you. Bought a new pok3r, went to change the caps, !wiggled!, but still ripped apart 12 (yes, f***ing twelve) stems. I was infuriated. I compared the switches (old and new reds) and was not very pleased with the new ones. Thinner plastic and the hook on the bottom is much smaller. Feels like a ripoff.

Ok so I'm finally back from my trip and hooked my type-S up. Tried 10fastfingers for kicks and right away I got 94wpm, with my previous average on normal HHKB at 86wpm.

Somehow the type-S is so much nicer to type on. I'm gonna try the 87U 55g next and see how that feels.
