What does your keyboard choice say about you?
« on: Mon, 12 October 2015, 23:53:20 »
Inspired by a reply in tp4tissue's 'Why don't we have a dating section' thread, post your current main keyboard(s), time used, and try to guess something about the person above you!
To start things off, I have an HHKB Type-S, which I've used for about one year. More participation  :D

I started out with a Dell AT102W (Complicated black Alps). Moved on to a Ducky Shine 4 with blues. Then I decided that fullsize wasn't really for me, so I went with a pok3r with blues. Now I really feel like trying something other than Cherry MX Blues, so my next board will most likely be a Smart68 with 65g Zealios.

Tofu28 isn't afraid of trying out something new, as seen by the various switch types.  ;D

You are sometimes hesitant to move out of your comfort zone, but you know when you need change.

I also have a 50 pack of 65g Zealio switches coming in for my Planck, which is evidence for your statement about me.  :)

Buys a fairly new car, drives it until the wheels fall off.

I started with a Das with browns.  Currently use a hacked up, floss and ANSI modded F AT mounted into my keyboard tray.

Puts a Cherry sticker on his modified F AT to make sure that he satisfies all those Cherry lovers on the forum, despite what IBM keyboard users think.  Naaaa.  Just kidding.

I am currently using a IBM Model M 1392595 terminal keyboard I modified with a standard 1391401 controller and LED panel and overlay.

While I do have that sticker on my space bar of my AT, it was purely done as a troll/make people ask questions.  Bout the same reasons as my choice in hair/facial hair.  My hair is longer than my wifes, and I my beard is around 2.5 inches or so and growing.  Yet I work industrial construction.  It does get hot some days.

Seems like you see the greatness in the antique and bring them into the modern world.
You might drive an old Model T or something =/

Been using the keyboards in my signature for a while now. Will probably be switching in a 55g topre

It looks like the HHKB is not your thing.

I'm using an Apple M0110 at home, converted using the TMK firmware. Next is an IBM Model F XT that I have to convert for work.

Someone likes ALPS.

I've been switching between the Kishsaver and Realforce 10AE the most lately, with a bit of LZ-GH sprinkled in for good measure.

You have not been skipped Hoff.  How can any one person describe you?  If it weren't for you, I probably would have left long ago.  You are very helpful, you keep a cool temper, you have a keyboard obsession that is hard to fathom.  You are so wrapped up in everything you have time for, yet all those projects keep building up and up.  I think it would be amazing if you actually had ALL those projects done.  I think that's your endgame Hoff.  It's a perpetual wheel.
