Vintage Micro Switch keyboard Hall-effect?
« on: Sun, 20 September 2015, 12:14:53 »
Last vintage keyboard assembly I received in a lot of vintage computer equipment.  This one is a Micro Switch keyboard that has been mounted on an older keyboard plate.  This Micro switch keyboard is from 1975 so I wonder how old that keyboard mounting plate is?  I don't know the original application but I'd love to.  Seems to be a terminal of some kind from the added key labeling?

I did some Googling.  Would this be a hall-effect keyboard?  It does feel like a great keyboard.

Here are some pics:

Looks to me like Honeywell Hall Effect switches for sure: http://deskthority.net/wiki/Honeywell_Hall_Effect

Nice find. I have yet to feel these switches, apparently they're really smooth.
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.
