For gaming I like MX Browns. For typing I like topre or MX Blues.

replacing the complete foam is the best you can do. The foam has a major impact on the overall feel and the time needed to replace it, is totally worth it.

Why don't you try usb to bluetooth converter(aka usb2bt, you can find it on Amazon)? I know someone who makes keyboard wireless with it(sorry I don't know whether the keyboards include Model M) .
It will need an extra battery instead of usb power supply, but If what you want to do is just using Ms on phones, it will go.
I initially looked into these as I have two ps2-usb converters that always work fine to convert the M to usb when needed.  But then I read about the amp draw for an M being higher than normal and didn't think it was going to work.  Have you found anything that definitely works as that would be the ultimate solution?

Welcome to GH.

Yeah upon rereading that post it wasn't clear at all. I meant to say, that of the two boards I am currently using, I prefer the Topre switches tot the mx browns.

Thanks for the welcome, though I have been a member/lurker since 2012 :)

There is Colossus/Bluetooth conversion.

You might have to have some patience for now.  From page 10 or so on the thread, it gets very interesting!

Let's just say....  soon.
How soon?  I have no idea.

I remember reading about this route, but didn't like the idea of opening the M.  I just want a plug and play solution, even if it costs a bit.

I found out about the Nulaxy adapter recently, but one reviewer on Amazon says it didn't work with an M.  But I know the usb adapter has a lot to do with if an M will work or not, and wonder if this guy's usb adapter wasn't up to the challenge.  This would be the ultimate solution as I do have a second M that I can dedicate to my phone.  Boy, I'd be able to really text back fast then!  lol!
