Sup, GH?
« on: Mon, 02 November 2015, 15:13:22 »
Hey!

I guess i'm not that new but i never introduced myself and i was mostly lurking since i post most of the time on r/mk.

Anyway, right now my daily driver is HHKB Pro 2 Type-S. I also own a Code keyboard TKL (clear switches) and an AEK II.

Right now i'm waiting for my quartz keyset and i've recently ordered a planck plus switches. I think i also took part in a GB and ordered a plate and switches but i can't remember what it was. I did pay tho so i guess i'll just have to wait and i'll find out eventually.

Anyway, how was your day?

Welcome! I see you already have one of the best Topre boards :)

My day has been OK. Good, because I finally got my SP grab bag, bad because I am a little crankier than usual >.<

Oh, look! Time to go home :D

Welcome Keyboardia1! How do you like the AEK-II? I've been really thinking about getting an Alps keyboard, but can't decide on which type to get first. I really like the feel of the Matias Quiet Click, but also like the "Clicky" which is the Alps blue or Alps white.

My day has been pretty good. can't complain too much, I'm on GH at work soooooo :thumb:

All sorted out: DSA/SA on left, DCS/OEM middle/right.

Some of the more different caps didn't make it in the shot. Got one ALPS mount cap, some G20 caps, and PBT SA-like caps...I was secretly hoping for some OTD keys but none to be found :(

i don't really like the switches from the AEK II. The keycaps are pretty cool though.

Welcome to Geekhack!

Have you got a favourite out of those keyboards?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
