Hello!
« on: Tue, 15 December 2015, 22:34:58 »
Hey friends! I'm a sub over at /r/mk, but this is where people post keysets and such, so I wanted to get closer the the action.

I'm newer to the keyboarding scene, having recently purchased a KUL ES 87. I'm on the hunt for the prettiest keycaps for it right now. I haven't decided between something in the DSA family, or maybe the 100 color dye sub caps that were on here about a month and a half ago. Those are beautiful, I can't wait until they come out on GeekKeys. Anyway, I've never really used forums before, so this'll be fun...

Welcome to Geekhack!

What switches did you get in your KUL?  I got a CODE with MX clears recently, I'm liking it much more than I thought I would.

Are you referring to rainbow keycaps?  Massdrop have those occasionally.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
