silicone spray to soften Topre domes?
« on: Sun, 03 April 2016, 07:33:41 »
Let's talk about rubber..

I poked around with google search to check the composition of Topre domes without much luck. My best guess is they're not silicone. I have a silicone keyboard from ten years ago, and the rubber has maintained the exact plasticity. From what I've read Topre domes stiffen after a few years.

I found a forum post on a random forum that explains how to use silicone spray to soften rubber. Has anyone tried this with Topre domes?

Instructions mentioned: Drench the rubber with the silicone spray, and leave it in an airtight bag for 3-7 days
